Our Project

Our Family, Our Faith, Our Future focuses on essential, no-frills upgrades deemed most important by parishioners:

Worship Space

In our church we celebrate our faith.
More than 3,000 families listen to the Word of God, receive Jesus in the Eucharist, and experience the Holy Spirit at work in their lives. We need to improve the sound and lighting systems. We need to make our worship space more accessible to our disabled and elderly parishioners. We also need to increase the space available to support the music that uplifts our spirits in praise.

We will enhance the effective communication and celebration of the liturgy with:

audio and lighting * ADA access *  choir instrument and equipment storage
* carpeting and pew cushions * sprinkler system/safety upgrades

Classrooms/Meeting Rooms

In our classrooms and meeting rooms we grow in faith.
Here we promote spiritual growth through all stages of life. Our flourishing children’s Religious Education program enrolls over 1,200 young people. Over 30 additional faith formation programs serve youth, young adults, adults, senior adults, and families. Our numerous social justice ministries meet and organize at Good Shepherd, helping us to live our faith by reaching out to those in need.
We will enhance our opportunities for faith formation with:

 painting * carpeting and lighting * sprinkler system/safety upgrades

Creedon Hall

In Creedon Hall we share fellowship and faith.
Here we gather as a community for all types of parish activities. We foster fellowship through pancake breakfasts, spaghetti dinners, dances, and ministry events. Our youth participate in lock-ins, movie nights, and home-schooling assemblies. We grow in faith through lecture series, retreats, and large prayer group meetings. We celebrate our spiritual journey through sacramental gatherings and honor our loved ones through funeral receptions. We support community outreach, including health screenings, blood drives, and large fundraising events. We use the kitchen regularly to prepare meals for the hungry and to support the annual International Festival. Creedon Hall’s current design is inflexible and inadequate for the multiple events required by the number of active parish ministries.
The strain from overuse is visible. We will enhance the many uses of Creedon Hall with:

 new restrooms * kitchen expansion * sound-proof dividers
* audio/visual upgrades *  flooring/painting * configuration to allow for 3 events *
* HVAC *  sprinkler system/safety upgrades
